Raven was purchased by us as a 9 year old stallion, and to our knowledge was not broke or handled much. We actually first made his acquaintance one year before we acquired him. We never forgot him and when the opportunity arose, he was ours and soon made his way back to Montana. Two months after getting him home and working him regularly we started riding him and found that his talent was far beyond what we had hoped or imagined. We sent him to training for reining where he refined his talents and excelled with the love of his new purpose in life. His grace, style and beauty turn the heads of all horse enthusiasts as he spins and slides. He is handled by children with the utmost respect for them and ridden by beginners down the trail. Black Jack is an accomplished stallion with a list of winnings and titles that fill the page! This horse loves to cut a cow. He is well mannered with a quiet disposition. He has also sired many other accomplished horses. Titles he has earned include National finals Futurity cutting Champion, National Finals Res. Open cutting champion, National Finals Res. Cutting Champion, International open cutting Champion, National Finals Ladies Cutting Champion, and WCHA Novice Cutting Champion for State of Wyoming. This list includes some of his winnings, however it is not complete. He stands 14.2 hands high. His heart and determination are greater than a dozen horses. Even at 25 he loves a job to do and does it with vigor and determination. Last summer he competed in 2 extreme cowboy trail challenges at 24 years of age and came in 2nd in both pro and non – pro divisions.
